IOANNIS PANTELIDIS
Founder & Former Managing Partner – PD Law Offices
Ioannis Pantelidis passed away on September 17, 2024. He was the Founder and Managing Partner of PD Law Offices and had been practicing law in Athens since 1979.
Throughout his distinguished legal career, Ioannis Pantelidis handled numerous high-profile litigation and arbitration cases in the field of major civil and commercial disputes. He also provided expert legal counsel in corporate law, complex corporate transactions, private insurance law, regulatory compliance in the insurance sector, and various other commercial industries, including the automotive sector.
He served as:
- Head of the Legal Department at the Export Credit Insurance Organization (ECIO),
- Legal Advisor on insurance matters to the Athens 2004 Olympic Games Organizing Committee,
- Special Advisor to the Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on private insurance issues,
- Legal Counsel to the Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies.
He also played an active role in the liquidation processes of the insurance companies Aspis Pronoia S.A. and Commercial Value, serving as Portfolio Supervisor for Life Insurance Contracts.
Mr. Pantelidis held a Master’s degree in Commercial Law from the University of Paris II (Panthéon-Assas) and a Law degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Ioannis lived in Volos and Athens, Greece, and in Paris, France, during the early 1980s. He was a proud husband and father of two children. He had a passion for travel and professional networking. His peers regarded him as an innovator, as well as someone who enjoyed philosophical discussions on law and economics.
His legacy in the fields of insurance and legal services lives on through his accomplished partners, his wife Anastasia Dardani, and his daughter Eleni Pantelidi, both Managing Partners of PD Law Offices.
